Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I coach in a small school conference where many of the teams do not have quality kickers. Therefore, we see squib kicks week after week. Do you guys have specific returns planned for these types of kicks?
We evaluate the locations of kicks by our opponents based upon scouting and trade tapes. If the squibs are kicked deep enough, we will use our standard or base returns. However, if they are not deep, we will typically game plan for a cross middle wedge.

I'm sure you will get many sound return schemes ( middle cross is a favorite of mine on any type of kick) I just want to be sure and point out the number one priority on a squibber, imo, is to make sure you cover the football! You can have all the best schemes, but if the ball isn't fielded by YOUR guy, what good are they? Squib kicks can do really crazy things on game night, and we practice against those things constantly. Just wanted to remind you of something I'm sure you already knew.
