Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
How do you teach your LB too scrape? Should they shuffle down the line or turn and run and then get their shoulders parrlell when they get close? In the 44 if the play is going outside should the PSLB find the open hole and attack with the BSLB checking trap then come over the top or should he stop cutback?

Stick - This is a long conversation teaching this one but. Whenever the linebacker scrapes "A" gap its called a Stay technique defending the dive play, whenever the linebacker defends "B" gap its called a slow technique stopping the ISO plays, whenever the linebacker scrapes "C" gap its known as a scrape technique defending the power plays, whenever the linebacker scrapes outside the 5 or 9 technique its known as a speed technique defending the toss game. Lets take this one further. Coach CAmpbell
My coach teaches us to follow the running back to the hole with the BSLB always checking for cutback. We are also taught to recognize the trap by watching the pulling lineman so we do not have to check for the trap every play. This way we hopefully will have every running possibility covered.
