Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
When running the inside zone against a 4-3 defense with a 9 and 3 strong and a 1 and 5 weak, do you vertically push against that front and run hippo or do you run a full rotating zone by having the deuce combo on the 3 tech go to pick up the sam(who is lined up over the TE at 4 yards off the ball) and have the ace combo backside full rotate to pick up mike(who is shaded to the strongside of the center at 4 yards)?
Do you see what I am asking coach? Would you vertically push with L-stepping and hippo OR would you have the OT hand check on 3 tech to sam and have the center hand check on 1 tech to mike?
It seems like the vertical push would have a hard time picking up the sam strong and the mike in the strong a-gap? So you would have to use a full rotating scheme to pick them up.

Coach vs a 6 man box the inside zone scheme will go vertical when moving 7 in the box like the 4-3 scheme then the play for the most part will strtech and roll out the backside because the blocks are have to be pulled over because of the extra defender. Coach CAmpbell
Okay coach. That makes sense. So against the 7 man front 4-3 defense, where the deuce combo on the 3 tech will push to sam and where the ace combo on the 1 tech backside will push to mike, where is the ace back likely to hit the hole at? If he cuts back, where is he likely to hit the hole at?
