I have never been a fan of cutting a DL or Lber and have only let my lineman cut on the perimeter. I have been trying to look at the Bronco wide zone play and their formula is to chop on the backside. What are footwork and tech. involved? Is it a drop step? Backside shoulder to playside knee? My only experience is with the Shoulder Cut off Block when I played in the 70's... please help

The footwork is dropstep, crossover, playside thigh pad. The drill I use to help our linemen learn the footwork is place a rubber chute board on the ground with a dummy on the far side of the board from the lineman doing the drill. We will drop step so the foot is right behind the board and then the crossover step goes over the board the we drive our far shoulder at thigh height into the dummy.
