Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
coach, we teach the fb to reach step playside, crossover, and get in the hole. it has worked well for us. we tried to crossover first, but they just could not get there in time. hope this helps. we are aiming for the near hip of the off. tackle.
Our belly g looks exactly like our sweep play. It is really effective if set up by the sweep vs. 4-3 teams. If you sweep enough, you don't have to block the Sam backer (he runs to pitch). Good against 4-4 with a 7 tech... Straight 50 teams can present problems...
I'm just trying to visualize how it would look if run off of the sweep play. Do you run it out of Far or I backs? We tend to run it with Near backs with the HB lead blocking, so this is probably what is causing my confusion. Thanks.

I backs with the qb reversing out, Tailback running pitch, fullback meshing with the qb. guard pulls and kickout 1st down defender past tackle. Our sweep looks basically the same with the fullback running out to block force and guard pulling around for backers. we can run option out of this as well as a pass... We could run it out of t backs and heavy or weak... just have to position it right (formation to play call)
