Here is the question I have on the inside zone. I understand the landmarks that are used for inside zone blocking but which do you guys feel is more important when running the inside zone, stretching or vertically pushing?
I know these are two of the ways to run this play but give me some of your thoughts on this.

Coach H the defference between the two is that you will L-Step the inside zone play and you will bucket step the stretch zone runs. The inside zone play should be built out of split flow by the backs Tailback running the ball inside and the fullback going opposite, this holds the LBers for the vertical push. With the stretch the ball his had to the back one hole wider which requires a buket step to strech the defense and for the back to find daylight. Coach CAmpbell
We need a play besides load to get the ball on the perimeter. Having trouble with the stretch zone play. 5 tech to the open and 9 tech to the tight are sealing the play inside. We are not getting their outside jersey. What would you suggest?

anytime you run stretch into a 9 or 5 tech the ball is going to cutback, this should be the tailbacks read when he sees this, he must understand that because of the extreme angles the offensive line will run at the ball will cutback. Coach CCampbell PS must assume that you can't out run a 9 or 5 tech.
