We get to play a few teams each year from the U.S., and have actually beaten a few over the years.
The main teams we play are from Coaches Care New Mexico and Arizona Gridiron.

Just from kicking around the web sites i have found heaps of countries play American Football.

The countries i know about are: England, Ireland, Scotland, Sweden, Finland, Italy, Spain, France, Ukrane, Norway, Germany, Finland, Japan (Current World Champions), New Zealand, Australia.... not to mention Canada, USA and Mexico.

We have been pretty lucky with the game here in Australia. We have had a few players play Div I and Div II college ball. The good thing is those players come home after 4 years and actually put some skills back into the local talent.

It works because one of our club teams actually beat a New Mexico All Star Team in 2001. We do not run professional teams here, they are all pay to play.
Most clubs charge their players around $300 per season to play.

We play NCAA rules in the seniors and a specially modified 7 a side format for the juniors (Under 19's).

Personally, i find these web sites and message boards really helpfull with my players. We have a lot of trouble teaching our guys the game because most of them play either Rugby League or Rugby Union until their mid 20's then come and try Gridiron as a sport.

The World Cup is run by an arganisation called IFAF. They are funded by the NFL to a large degree.
IFAF has been a paper tiger since the last world cup in 1999 and can't seem to agree where and when to play the next.

One of the best places to find websites for teams/clubs/organisations is eteamz.
They are a free web site host for football teams. Everything is set on a template so even thick coaches like myself can look after them.

Here is my teams address, go there and have a look at the bottom of the page there is a section called "local sites", click on that and it will show you a list by states in the US and also by country around the world. I think you will be surprised.

Yeah I would love to see the game become a more worldly game. Baseball caught on, why cant football do the same?
