Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
When running a fast combo, do you still have your o-linemen use the near ear rule? In other words, if you have a 9 and 3 tech strong, the TE will base the 9 tech but does the OT and OG face deuce combo the 3 tech to the sam linebacker?
With fast combos I use the term Circle The Wagons which incorporates a drop step for our offensive linemen as they work around on their combos, With a fast combo its the outside ear that you are working for. Coach Campbell

a fast combo would be applied when running a play like to TOSS, With the Toss to a 9 and a 3 tech you would get a trey and an ace ram if headed towards the tight end. This type of play using fast combo's will probably cut back inside. Coach Campbell
So having the TE base the 9 and OT and OG deuce combo the 3 tech to sam over the TE at 4 yards is a full rotating zone rather than a fast rotating zone correct?
Coach the great the angle to the LBer the faster the combo, usually with a 6 man box you get slow rotating zones, with 7 in the box the faster the zone becomes because their LBer becomes closer aligned to the play. Coach CAmpbell
