Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Could someone explain how to run the inside zone against these two fronts from a one back offense.
Front 1 = 9 and 3 strong and a 1 and 5 weak. Sam, Mike and Will in strong c-gap, strong a-gap and weak b-gap, respectively.
Front 2 = DE head on TE, DT's head on both OG's and weak DE outside shade of weak OT. They have a linebacker over the strong OT and a linebacker stacked behind the weak DT, so it is only a 6 man front.

Coac I build my inside zone off the near ear rule which is a landmark for helmet placement of the offensive lineman. To a 9 to a 3 tech you would have the TE put his helmet to the inside ear of the 9 tech. The tackle would climb putting his helmet to the inside ear of the Sam backer, the guard putting his helmet to the inside ear of the 3 tech and the center work off the combo by him and the guard on the 1 tech to near ear of the mike backer and the backside guard on the near ear of the 1 tech. and the backside tackle working off and unto the near ear of the Will backer. For the running back this will probably be a backside cutback for him because of the angles the offensive linemen are taking their blocks. Coach CAmpbell
