Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
To get the ball outside we prefer Dip, Reach and Pull to Overtake, we found it secured the downlineman with less confusion and quicker to get a body to Lber and made it easier for our back. People that want to hang on the backside of a covered lineman and play under a reach block are overtaken easily, where when we tried staying on track we would get hung up trying to decide. Our rule is simple now, reach thru the playside armpit and stay on until you are replaced, keep outside arm free, if the defender tries to cross your face lock on with two hands and he is yours. If he trys to hang or run under, the uncovered will aim for the same armpit and bump you off.
