This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
We are about to have our annual spring staff meeting and I have the list of the topics we will cover: team discipline, expectations of players, coaching responsibilities, Thursday night practice, and game day schedule. I have my notes and ideas about each of the topics, but any ideas you may have concerning these topics would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for any and all comments. Coach Cline
Good question. This is my first year as a head coach in a brand new program so we will be having our first Spring meeting soon.
Just brainstorming: we will be discussing - summer lifting and speed program, what hours will the weight room be open and who will cover it. Spring Camp on June 7, 8, and 9th then create a depth chart, students "at risk" of failing 4th quarter and monitor their grades now! (tutorial), plan meetings with local youth league coaches, summer youth football camp, 7 on 7 summer league, captains practices throughout the summer, make summer meeting schedule for coaches. What are your thoughts on these discussion topics? How often do you meet in the off-season?
Hay coach, good to hear from you. This will be the first of three meetings that we will hammer out the ground work for the season.
One major topic we will discuss is summer workouts. In the past, we held two sessions of summer work outs, one from 6-8 AM and another from 8-10 AM. We found that a ton were here for the 6-8 and not many were here for the 8-10 so we changed the time to 6:30AM-9:00AM. We have two coaches at eash session and each coach is assigned to six workouts. The team will stretch, form run and lift for an hour and 45 minutes and then we will condition them for the remaining 45 minutes.
