Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
If I read correctly we are talking about a 3WR 2 back set? If so what you can do is is put the fullback on the backside DE or BS LB.
For example If you offset the fullback (or leave him in the I) and you have shade, 5 tech. look to the offset with a 3 and 5 away from the offset, You can have the BST block out on the 5 tech. center and BSG combo to the PSLB, PSG blocks 3 tech and PST blocks 5 tech. The fullback blocks the BSLB. Start inside zone action playside, the back sells like he is going playside then cuts backside off of the block of the shade. Now if you are getting 7 in the box you can check to a 3 step pass (or bubble screen) or find a way to get a body on the 7th man:
If the 7th man is coming down to take away the cutback have the tackle block that man and then have the QB boot the backside end.
If you are getting the 3 and 5 to the offset back and 1 and 5 away from the offset back then I would have the fullback go the backside DE. PST blocks the 5 tech. PSG either combos with the center on shade or combos with the PST on 5 to PSLB. BSG and BST combo 3 tech. to BSLB.
