Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Coaches, I'm interested in knowing how you attack the 3-3-5 when passing. What we see with this defense is a 3-3 stack in the box, and the defensive backfield has 5 across at 7 yards off the LOS. There are no pre-snap alignments with the 5 across to determine if they are in C3, C2, C1, etc. For example, the Corner could play deep 1/3, he could shuffle forward and funnel to play C2, or he could slide inside and play a loose man technique, but pre-snap you have no idea of knowing which. How do you teach your QBs to read the 5 across defense when passing? How would you execute a 2X2 mirrored Smash combo (#1 hitch, #2 corner/sail) against this look? Thanks.
