any ideas on a good summer workout plan to stay in shape, our football program is finishing springtranning on saturday, so i want to keep it and gain some more i guess im kind of looking for a weekly tanning plan or if any of yall could post a web link with tranning info. and thanks for yalls help i appreciate a buch

You need to concentrate on getting stronger above everything IMO. The best way to get in shape for football is to play football. You only get strong in they gym. Depending on your age I would recommend concentrating on squats, deadlifts, squats, bench presses, squats, rows, and dont forget squats. Squatting is of the upmost importance. Do a google search for one of Bill Starr's programs. I think these are invaluable for younger guys.
I'll have to agree about Bill Starr. Very basic, yet very effective. If I remember from your other question, I think you are a sophmore, so you need to continue building that "foundation". Push, Pull and squat, pretty much what Goldberg implied, should make up a big part of what you do. Also, hit the trunk, low back and traps hard and do extra work on the hamstrings and glutes. But don't get too carried away, just stick with with pretty much basic stuff. If you back squat and deadlift, you will hitting the posterior chain pretty hard as it is.
