Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
No, but I interviewed against a guy who took his father-in-law into an interview. Of course his father-in-law has won three USA Today high school football mythical national championships.

After I enter view a canidate for my football program and hes married I will have my wife give his wife a call to intorduce herself and let my wife make her self available if she to has questions about our community, etc. Coach CAmpbell
I ended up taking my wife to my call back interview. I referred to her in some answers and I think it made a nice impression to the committee. I sold myself as a team, and I got the job. If your wife is in to football, this is a nice touch.
on a side note my wife loves the book by the Fellowship of Chriatian Atheletes "Football Coaches wife's survuval guide" or something like that. It is a nice christmas present for the bride!
I interviewed for a 3A head coaching job here in Texas 2 years ago, my wife was asked to attend the interview and meet the superintendent, principal, etc. Then i was questioned by the board, she didnt attend that part.

For an assistants position I have never taken my wife into the interview. However for a head coaching postioin I always take my wife. She is definitely an asset, she doesn't know much about football but she does very well in the community and very supportive of the time and demands placed on me from being the head coach. She presents herself very well and is a people person. I feel that my wife also has to be involved in the decision of accepting the position if offered plus it gives her an oppurtunity to look through the community. The biggest selling point of taking your wife is the selling the idea of family. When called for an interview I always tell them that my wife will be accompanying me. This lets them know ahead of time and they can make plans as to how and what parts of the interview she will be involved with.
This is the first I have ever heard of a wife at an interview. I am really surprised that schools do this or that any one would take their wife. In all the interviews I have ever had, not one school has asked for my wife to be there. Is this a regional thing? Also, has this ever hindered anyone, when they do take their wife?
Was wondering when this question would come up! I, like Coach Betts, have never heard of this practice of even thinking about taking your wife to the interview. They are hiring you, not your wife. Even in some small rural setting, where everyone is really family in every sense of the word, I have never heard of it. IMO, the guy who took his father in law to the interview was doing nothing more than exploiting his success. Had I been on the interview committee, that would have really left a bad taste in my mouth. Now, the practice that Coach Campbell employs of having his wife call and welcome a new staff coach's wife to the shool community, etc. seems very appealing to me as it is an established, long standing tradition. Not being critical at all of those who have taken their wives, to me it just doesn't seem appropo.
