Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Coach, we buzz our SS down on sound to the strong side as a C or D gap/flat player, as a change up we send him on an outside or inside loop with our 9tech. One if not both of them come clean. We also play a FS sky weak, where the FS is a flat/force player. He also moves down on sound. We will send him in any weak gap. We get great pressure from him on an outside go with a 5tech. occupying the OT. We always show a cover 2 shell and vary our coverages.
That is fine in my opinion if there is a zone blitz. I would have a hard time sending both without some form of replacement. You could send your SS and roll your coverage to him with your weak side end taking the flat weakside if ball is off the line. If it is down the line Will will have to cover flat.
Coach when sending either one or two of the safeties, we either replace the zone with a linebacker or drop end or we play a man coverage(0,1, man, man free, etc...).
