How would you block the midline against a 44 with 6-2-2-6 alignment up front? Would you leave both the DT and DE alone? .........................................FS C............................................................................C ...............B.............B........B.............B ......................E......T........T......E O.....................O...O...X...O...O...O ..............................................................................C
Use the basic midline blocking rules, with a "Trey-Jill" combo block for the PS TE and PS OT. C & BS G - Ace Combo backside DT to BS LB PS G - Rip through inside (picking grass) to the near number of the ILB PS T - block out on DE PS TE - fold underneath the PS T block, eyeing the near number of the PS LB. If PS LB doesn't come to the TE, TE should work his way to FS. TB - responsible for getting down hill "now" at the outside number of the OLB
We use a fold block by the TE around the OT to get to the playside LB. we like vs. a 7 or 6 techn. DE. the OT blocks out. if you use a wing you can fold him inside and fan block to the outside with the OT and TE.
Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than my GUNS!!!
Has anyone tried to arc the TE to OLB like inside veer and release PS OG & OT to PS ILB? Would this make the DT our read man and the DE our option man?
