If you are a typical sophomore, you are weak in the hams/glutes/trunk and lack overall mass. Just get in the weightroom and get the lower body stronger, especially in the areas I just mentioned. If you are overweight, then clean up your diet and lose bodyfat. These things alone will dramatically increase your speed and quickness off the line.
Dude, you are young so be patient and start training the right way and you will be amazed at how strong and powerful you can get.
