This year I am going to try to get away from having a DE with pass coverage responsibility. I am a little worried about covering #2 and 3 (if present) in a 2 deep. The corners usually play hard corner on #1 - forcing him inside. This obviously leaves #2 uncovered as the safety has deep half. I am a little skeptical about moving the corner inside over #2 because that makes it pretty tough on the safety. I suppose most people are going to say to play cover 3 or some type of loose man on the back side, but that weak side flat scares me. Any tips? We won't see this much, if at all, but I want to be prepared.
