Start up and ongoing costs for H.S. football program

There are some noises being made in my region about a school district or two possibly starting a football program, possibly at the HS level.

To put together a beginning program, what are the costs?

One time costs (ie goal posts, sleds, bags, etc...)

Ongoing fixed costs (insurance, new equipment per player, balls, etc....)

Ongoing variable costs (transportation costs, reconditioning of equipment, etc...)



I know you could get some equipment used vs. new, whats the spread between used vs. new?

What else am I forgetting (besides coaching stipends)

Figure start without lights until program success established.
