Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I need so good drills i can do with the defensive linemen this year. We will be in shorts for the next week and then we will hit full pads. i need some stuff that we can do until we get in pads. ie pass rush, stuff with the sled or shouts
1. Understanding blocking progression (how to take on a base block, double team, trap block). 2. Angles of pursuit drill (involving all defensive linemen vs. OL holding shields attacking DL and ball carrier). 3. Pass rush techniques (Swim, rip, etc.)
We spend an hour of indy time on this every defensive session. Good luck coach.

5 basic - Bull Rush, Rip, Swim, Club, Spin (over and over and over in shorts!) Pass rush- accentuate raising hands on last step before reaching QB! To rush with raised hands slows you down. How to "trap" QB's arms when you are blindsiding him and not allowing the throw. Run stopping- how to engage OL before they can make that second step, keep them off and let the LB's make the tackles. How to shed double teams, tackles how to take on TE's blocking down in the power game, DE's how to avoid kickouts on power and counters from the different angles of an attacking FB or BSG. Alignment- know all 9 techniques 0 thru 9 and how to reduce or eagle to them from original alignment Stemming- work on this technique of how to get to your assignment in the most expedient manner. Chute drills- walk them through them in shorts, then they will be ready when the gear is on. Board drills- instruct technique, put it action on first day of pads The list goes on, but if you work these we have listed in the two posts , you should be busy until you put the pads on. Good luck.

i think the time without shorts is a great time to get the hoops taught.... if you are not familiar with the hoops, one of the coaches on here can give you info.
