This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I'm looking for some help on my 3-step game. We run option out of double wing/double wide and I'm looking for a simple complimentary quick game to go with it. Small school and can't get very complicated with our protection scheme. Just looking for ideas.
We also run a RAM or LION set where we bring the opposite wingback over and put him in the strong side slot to give a trips look.
Coach, we use 2 protections in out 3 step game. Bob-big on big, fullback on inside lb and wings sealing outside. Slide protection for the teams that load up outside when you have to pass and they know it. Our 3 step game is our 300 series. Second number is always the left se and third is the right se. I would call: spread 311 Bob=double slot formation, 3 step game and double hitches. Ex., spread 378 Bob=left se running a post and rt se running a fade. We use this in 90% of our passing game and it has been very successful over the years. Send me your email if you nedd more info. Good luck
Coach Nick, you say your 3 step is your 300 series, does that mean your running plays for example could be spread 223? Do you also tag your run plays with the name, or just numbers?
Coach, we usually just go with series numbers. However, there have been years where our team was just plain "arithmatically challenged", so instead of saying spread 26 (toss right), we said spread toss right. We built motion into every play. We just began the call with "nomo" if we didn't want it. All our hundred series are passes: 100/200 is veer playaction, 300 is 3 step, 800/900 is sprint. A note, I teach our qb's the 5 step gameas per the route called. We try to keep it as simple as possible. email me with any questions. anicolino@mapleshade.org
