I'm looking for a play drawing software that will let you save the play as either a .JPG or .EPS file that you can import into a word processing or publishing software.
I simply use the "draw" feature in Microsoft Excel. You can make one "O" then copy and paste until you have 11 of them the same size. you can then move them anywhere you want. When you get them set you can "group" them so that you can move all of them at once. you can also diagram the plays, using the "draw lines" feature. Becomes pretty easy with a little practice.
by far the EASIEST and CHEAPEST (that's me to a "t") is the Excel worksheet. For great presentation, simply format the entire worksheet the color white, then put "O" or "X" in a field and use the draw feature. To use as a jpeg or any graphic, simply copy the cells you want into POWERPOINT as a graphic...(Copy, Edit>Paste Special>graphic)
