Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
We're basing out of the 3-3 stack. It's my first season with it, and it seems to be a bend but don't break type of D. We're giving up some yards, but have only had 2 TDs scored on us in two games so I'm being patient with it.
We have an opponent coming up that lines up unbalanced to one side with an extra back or two to that side and just plays smash mouth, down your throat runs behind all those bodies. I've got a few ideas about what to do but I'm wondering if anyone out there has any thoughts on how to best defend this set.
Thanks in advance.

tell us exactly the alignment and we'll try and help you....You were kinda vague in how they lined up unbalanced. Is it TE Wing with SE over to the wing side or what?
I'm thinking shift everything one man to strong, bring the strongside spur down to an outside technique, and stagger the LBs strong, with a spur invert and corner weak. From there I"ll slant and attack.
you can do that and as a change up, you might try this:
shade your N and ends to the unbalanced & keep your LB's Head up on the Tackles and center
walk your weakside spur over to the wing and play him head up. On the snap he will crash through the TE-Wing gap to spill anything outside. He wants to get behind the TE's butt 1 yard deep.
Play your strong side spur inside eye of the TE.
Play your FS stacked over the Strongside spur and he is man on the TE.
Your corners play outside the wing and backside TE. they are also manned up.
This way you end up playing 4 stacks looking to spill everything that is run to the strongside and run it down with your sam LB, FS and corner to the strongside.
To the weakside, if the end blocks down on your end, then the corner is free to spill and you still have your weakside LB and Mike LB to run it down.
Using the two fronts you can give them different looks and it may give you some flexibility if they are hurting you with one front or the other.
