Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Coaches, this off-season, I plan on visiting one or more college programs to spend a day or two with them to learn their way of doing things and how they interact with players, talk scheme, review drills, and absorb other ways of teaching technique.
I know this is a common practice (?), but what is the SOP for this kind of thing? How much time does one typically spend with them? I know after-hours "socializing" would likely be where the meat-and-potatoes would be discussed, though...
I make it a standard practice to visit at least 2 local colleges every spring for a full day each. I contact the head coach and also the position coach I would like to spend the day with. I feel sitting in their practice planning session and the asst. coaches group meeting before practice is the best. I have made a great relationship with the o-line coach at our local DI program and I even send him our pass pro and run game cutups in the off season for him to evaluate.
