How in depth does this book go on the schemes and strategies involved in the option game?
Does the book include things like: -QB mechanics-mesh, footwork, reads, pitch etc. -explanation of blocking schemes and techniques -Pass protection rules -back alignment (like how far from the LOS the backs should line up)
Im just wanting to find out if this book is what I am looking for before I buy it.
Also anyone that has purchased this book what did you think of it?

John I feel that my option manual will give you the needed details and strategies for installing and running the option game. If you have any questions please feel free to let me know. Coach CAmpbell
Coach, from someone who has Coach CAmpbell's entire option package (videos and manuals). It's well worth the investment. It does go over blocking schemes vs. different fronts as well as how to run it utilizing whatever offense you are implementing. A passing game is also included in the manual. I would highly recommend purchasing the "option on me' video series as well. The videos cleared up a number of questions I had looking at the manual. I hope this helps
some people live on what they know, and some people live for what they don't
Go for it. I don't have enough practice time to do it unless I'm ready to commit completely to the option (rec Jr, 6 hours a week) , but I think with school ball practice you'll get a lot out of it.
You can start with the manual, the CD has much of the manual content in Powerpoint and with pictures. Coach C also has DVDs from one of the MegaClinics that is worth the $$ also, IMHO.

The best part of the book is the 'best option' section, which Coach Campbell describes from the I formation. We have adapted this concept to our flexbone formation with explosive results...the defense can't be right (pre-snap or post-snap).
