Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Looking for any information or coaching techniques for the quick pitch out of split backs. We are needing a play that hits the edge quickly as we will be having some speed coming back next year. 95% of our runs this year were inside the tackles.
I know that the play basically consists of the back running directly toward the sideline with either the PST or PSG leading the way and logging or kicking out the force player. The receiver can also crack on the OLB and the puller can kick out the corner. Any help and clarifications would be greatly appreciated.
Go onto a search & pull up "THE FLY T OFFENSE" (I have come across sites on this offense). A GREAT book was written about this (the offense CENTERED around the quick pitch) by Hampton Pool (when he was Head Coach of the L.A. Rams in the fifties. It was called "FLY-T FOOTBALL" by Hampton Pool (Prentice-Hall Publishing Company). You can still find it at abebooks.com (used books) or through an inter-library loan.
