Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I am looking for different ways to block a single back draw. We see 5 and 6 in the box with a high shade and a low shade DT.
Currently we have the OTs envite the DEs upfield for two counts, then release onto Sam and Will. The OG blocks the high shade DT, and the OC and OG pass set on the low shade DT with the OC blocking him, and the OG folding up on SAM.
I like a QB draw much more than a draw to the back...gives you one extra blocker. Run either a draw trap or a draw spike. Run this play to the tighter DT if possible. PG blocks down on 2i tech while center blocks back on BDT. BG influences and then pulls around. If Draw Trap, PT will influence the DE then release to BLB. Pulling guard will kick DE and back will lead thru after showing pass. If Draw Spike, PT will pass set and widen DE, pulling guard will spike thru the hole peeking for BLB while back pass sets then leads thru. You can run either with back running as well...you just lose an extra blocker. pdow
Tackles: Pass set inside and force DE outside and upfield.
Guaud vs high shade: Pass set inside and force DT outside and upfield.
Center: Pass set to low shade and drive low shade outside.
Guard vs low shade: Pass set fold block with center to first lber head up or behind center.
RB: Show pass set and lead up on playside lber.
QB: Gun: receive ball, flash ball at shoulder height and follow folding guard and RB up field. Under center: 3 step drop, plant and follow folding guard and RB up field.

USE "BASE/REGULAR" PASS PRO (C = #0; G's = #1; T's = #2; TE(s) = #3. Everyone takes a firm quick set on LOS (no retreat) & take man in direction he wants to go (NOTE: "man" assignments but "zone" principles vs "twists", etc. - SWITH OFF). RB runs foff block of first covered O-Lineman from Center out.
