Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
Coach Campbell, all coaches really, In your manual on the Ultimate Run Game, under Tailback running plays you list 16 running plays (not including single wing runs). Do you install all 16 with your offensive unit at the begining of the season and then as you come up with a game plan, determine which plays you will work on that week. Or, do you install a base offense and add to the offense as the season progresses?

Coach the Ultimate run game is a combination of many plays, But when game planning an opponent I like to come up with 5 no more then 6 run plays must be able to run these without confussion for blocking assignments, etc. The option game is an offense in itself thus I don't like many other conventional plays. Coach I like to build the option game around the inside veer, load, and midlineoptions with most being called on the LOS. I like to run the inside and outside zone, the ISO and possible a trap whether it be a guard or tackle trap. My offense is built around throwing the ball as well using 4 and 5 wides mixed with the gun running game. Very simple but very difficult for a defense to prepare for it all. Coach CAmpbell
I'm confused. Before I had asked and you said you were in the gun around 70% of the time but you say you build around the veer. Do you keep the same gun plays each week then build around the veer on top of it? How many gun plays do you have each week?

Coach you can run it from either, when running with two back you get speed option out the backside if the QB gets a pull read off the EMLOS. The stretch requires a drop step by your offensive line, tracking next defender over - Coach CAmpbell
