Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I recognize the advantages and disadvantages of both. I like the flexibility of numbering all receivers' routes. The combinations are almost limitless. However, it has been my experience that packaging combinations forces us to be more simple and rep our stuff during practice. We can come up with a couple of 3 steps and 5 steps and rep them to the point the QB can execute the reads with ease. If we want to throw a wrinkle into the package, we just tag it.

THOSE WHO NUMBER ALL RECEIVERS ROUTES PACKAGE THEM AS WELL. THE COMBOS USED ARE NOT AS ENDLESS AS ONE MIGHT IMAGINE - THEY HAVE THEIR FAVORITE COMBOS PACKAGED IN THEIR PLAYBOOKS (GILLMAN, CORYELL, GIBBS, ZAMPESE, TURNER; VERMEIL; TICE; HENNING; MARTZ; ETC.)
