This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
We have a jammer machine at our high school and I was observing our athletes using it. Through my observation I observed them throwing the weight around without reason. When I asked them why they did it that way they told me that is how they were taught. I didn't agree with the way they were using the machine and I tried to explain to them some better ways of using the machine.
My question is are there any sites that demonstrate good form on the Jammer?
Do you have your athletes run in place while using the Jammer or do you have you athletes start in a stance and fire into the machine?
We have them explode from a good football stance...think linebacker. They should explode then bring the weight back down under control! Then reset and repeat. Do not let them bounce the weight off the rubber stoppers. We tell our kids each rep in another "play" reset and punch again. Now we do not want them to take a long time on the reset. Kind of power cleans, don't slam the wt on the floor, set it down and go again. As for websites you could try huskerpower.com. I do not know if they still have a quicktime video up there or not. I know when we got our Jammer there was a video included. You might want to contact Hammer Strength.
