This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
We put in midline and IV this past season. We have a lot of good playaction routes off the IV but really nothing off of the midline. Does anyone have any good routes off of midline action?
COACH: MIDLINE WAS A HUGE FOR US THIS YEAR! SINCE MOST OF THE TIME WE RUN MIDLINE TO THE TE SIDE, WE FAKE MID AND RUN A TE "POP". IT WAS VERY HIGH PERCENTAGE AND VERY EFFECTIVE! COACH COOP
RED-OPS PLAY HAS LONG BEEN A STAPEL OF MY OFFENSE. GREAT ANYWHERE ON THE FIELD, ONE OF MY FAVORITES TO CALL ON THE GOAL LINE. I SIMPLY CALL IT 30 MID-Y POP.
ONE OF MY OTHER PLAY ACTION OFF THE MIDLINE IS TO FAKE THE FB AND HE RUNS RIGHT UP THE GUT AND HOOKS IT UP AT 7-9 YDS, AND SQUATS. WE SEND THE Y ON A 7 YD SPEED OUT AND QB LOOKS RIGHT AT THE Y HIS WHOLE ROUTE, THEN SNAPS BAK TO MIDDLE AND HITS THE FB WHO HAS NOT MOVED.FS TENDS TO OVER LOOK HIM WHEN HE SEES ON THE FAKE HE DOES NOT HAVE THE BALL!
