Installing Today’s Hybrid Pistol Offense Run & Pass from Top to Bottom
This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
FB under center, we have the fb take a 45 degree crossover step with his backside foot.(almost like belly) His aiming point is the butt of the tackle. The QB takes roughly three steps towards the dive read pointing the pall. It is a give or pull. We do not sit and mesh on outside veer. It is a slower play than from split backs. We are a split back team by choice, but when we have a true stud fb we go to the I formation. It took some time to get to like OSV from the I formation. Truly, I prefer belly g when I know I want the fb to carry the ball from the I in the off tackle track.
