I was just reading through Coach Campbell's Multiple 40 manual and I thought of a couple questions concerning MLB reads. Now, I do understand the concept of the LB reading through guard to near back but I am still looking for an exact understanding on this. Lets say your Will (weak side) middle backer reads flow away. Once he has taken on his blocker and has checked his gap responsibility for counter to him he then defeats the offensive linemans block and moves down the LOS to the ball, correct??? I guess more than having questions I am more less just checking to see if I have the correct understanding of this. If you guys can confirm for me wheather or not I know what I am talking about here I would really appreciate it, thanks.
