This manual provides you with the full offensive line, receiver, and quarterback mechanics for installing each offensive play presented. Coach Campbell has left no stone unturned for implementing today’s Pistol Offense into your program.
I am currently in the process of applying for a couple of HC positions. I know of several people that I would hire, who would be willing to work for me at both schools. However, filling an entire staff with qualified coaches can be challenging. How do most of you go about finding quality assistant coaches? Ideally, I would like to have coaches that are part of the teaching staff, but that doesn't always happen, and sometimes there are great coaches who don't teach. Do you post assistant positions on the state website? Do you network with other coaches? Do you look for past players? How about going to some of the in-state colleges for former players?
Coach, You have some effective methods listed there to find coaches. I have used all of them at various times. This past June I got hired and was behind the eight ball for getting the program running without a staff. I advertised on Coachingjobs.com and hired two great guys (fantastic coaches) as coordinators, both of whom were ex-head coaches. I also did something you may try if you think it's worth it. I asked the principal to see the applicants for the HC job who weren't chosen. I contacted many, ended up hiring one (also an ex head coach). I got the name of another ex-head coach from an Opposing coach at a 7 on 7 contest, and this guy gave me another name.
I kept a couple of local guys on the lower levels for continuity. The AD refered another guy who turned out to be a good coach.
One of my DC's had an ex player finish his BA and want to come back and coach with him (us) this fall.
So, I guess the moral is find them any way you can. I also have learned timing is key to many hirings. That's why I'll re-advertise many times before summer.
Good luck coach!

Also, list your job with your state's football coaches association... if you have one... Dept of Ed usually has job boards on their internet sites as well. Or get on as many of these boards and post them..
I'm in that same situation now. I was just hired last Friday to my first Head Coaching position and I'm hiring a complete staff. The previous coach took his entire staff to his new school and there is no in-house coaches at this particular school.
I've spoken to other coaches and players that I've played with in school and coached with at camps, etc. I also went to a clinic this weekend and got the word around with other coaches as well as posted it on the clinic informational posters in the main lobby of the hotel.
This week I will post it in the local papers and athletic assoc. websites.
I also did what the previous coach mentioned about getting the information of the other coaches that applied for the job and I'm in the process of meeting with some of those candidates. good luck on your interviews.

Get coaches that are going to be loyal. If you don't know the coach then until you do then "TRUST NO ONE". Loyal coaches can develop into great football minds but it is hard to change someone's morals.

Dacoachmo, Amen. I just had to let someone go on my staff. A loss for us but it had to be done. You hit the nail on the head, you can't change someone's morals.
