Two good resources for split back veer are - The Explosive Veer Offense for Winning Football - Don Morton, Jim Wacker
- University of Houston Football - Veer T Offense - Bill Yeoman - These are both older books and may be out of print. I have a split back veer manual that is available from Coach Campbell's online store. Pittsburg State University and Carson Newman are very successfull D-2 programs that have run splitbacks. I have a video tape from Jerry Kill (SIU) when he was the OC at Pittsburg State.

Winning with the Explosive Veer Offense by Jim Wacker and Don Morton, plus Homer Rice on Triple Option Football are the two best books imho on split back veer. Both are out of print but amazon and Alibris.com(best place) can findthem but at a cost. The Wacker book is outstanding.

Bill Yeoman will sell you his playbook if you contact Un. of Houston and ask for him. I have it and it is a good manual.

If you can trade anyone for the DeLaSalle Veer training tape it is as good a resource as there is. Mine is a third generation copy and does not copy. It is great. If you contact Jerry Kill at Southern Illinois University, they will make a copy of their Saginaw Valley clinic tape and it is excellent as well. We went and visited them less than two months after they took over. Even though they do not run the veer anymore, he is exptremely helpful. He says the one thing he can coach as good as anyone, is the triple option. Very down to earth and practical coach.
